Karol is the founder and president of #FARA, committed to compassionate animal rescue and advocacy across Florida. A devoted mother and animal foster, she embodies lifelong service and activism, inspiring change through dedication and leadership.

Dr. Lopez, a military veteran and pharmacist, oversees FARA's operations with heart and dedication. He passionately supports animal welfare and enjoys family, travel, and adventure.

 Nicole, our Head of Marketing and a Director, is a dedicated animal advocate and founder of Green Vegan Bags. She uses her creativity and experience to elevate FARA’s mission - leading website design, donation strategies, and partnerships while working closely with activists, volunteers, and vendors. Nicole’s passion and vision continue to drive meaningful change for the animals we serve. 

Grace, our Animal Welfare Director, has a decade of veterinary and rescue experience, caring for a diverse range of species. She is passionate about fostering, wildlife, and aquatic life, and enjoys nature in her free time.

Jean, one of our board members and our go-to pig guru, brings deep knowledge and compassion to everything she does. Her expertise and dedication play a vital role in supporting FARA’s mission and the animals we serve. 

Kate, one of our board members, is a dedicated leader and an exceptional mentor, bringing years of experience to guide and support our team. Her insight, compassion, and commitment to animal welfare help strengthen FARA’s mission and empower those around her to grow and make a meaningful impact. 

Dr. Santiago Forteza, our Veterinary Advisor and board member, is a highly skilled surgeon and experienced exotic veterinarian who also cares for cats and dogs. His expertise and compassionate approach help guide critical medical decisions and ensure the highest standard of care for the animals we serve. 

 Jaliyah, our Transport Coordinator, plays a vital role in organizing and supporting the safe transport of animals across our network. From rescue pickups to vet visits and sanctuary placements, she helps ensure animals get where they need to go safely and efficiently. Her reliability and dedication make a meaningful impact on every case we support. 

Yaidy, our Head of Creative Design, is a textile and product designer with 10+ years of experience. She uses her creativity to support FARA’s mission, driven by her passion for animals. Outside of her work, she enjoys reading fantasy novels, cooking, staying active, and traveling. 

Abigail, our Social Media Outreach Coordinator and a University of Florida student, began fostering in 2020 and has since cared for over 200 animals. Passionate about animal welfare, she uses social media and outreach to inspire others and has earned national recognition, including the President’s Volunteer Service Award and a feature on CBS News Miami Proud. 

 Jesus, our Projects Lead, combines his construction expertise and love for animals to create spaces that support rescue efforts and community growth. An avid traveler and nature lover.
